I haven't decided if I'm gonna get it. I didn't like the lyrics that the actual band wrote of the songs they played, even though I liked the music. With Lukas, I think I might check it out. I was really excited when I heard Gilby was gonna be on it, way back when because I thought they would play some GN'R. I'm pretty disapointed that they weren't even mentioned.
Brooke Burke said they would be back next summer, so I wonder who's going to be in the next one.
Yup, my wife and I started watching this show about 10 weeks ago and I had him pegged as the winner the first time I saw him sing. I didn't think there was any chance that they would choose a female lead singer and he by far had the most original voice of all the men. Even with the background of the rest of the band, I think Lukas brings a sense of merit to the band. I was afraid they might choose Toby and "sell out", but they stuck with the only guy I would actually be intersted in listening too. Kudos to Supernova.
I really enjoyed watching the second installment of this series. I thought Storm Large was hot but not really a good fit but I did not see Lukas winning the whole deal. I had Toby or Magni pegged as the winner.
It'll be interesting to see how their new album will turn out.
I was secretly pulling for Dilana to win it all......she was FREAKY!

Jason Newsted left Poptallica for 1 reason and I know this to be fact. Lar$ & Jame$ only let Newsted co-write 3 songs the entire time he was in the band. Newsted wrote every single song when he was in his former band...Flotsam & Jetsam.
Jason couldn't stand not being part of the song writing process and that's exactly why he left. He doesn't need the money so now he's doing whatever he wants to do, on his own terms, not Lar$ & Jame$ terms. He joined a little known older metal band called VoiVod, he started his own band for a while and now he's doing this gig.
I say good for him. He's finally able to write again and do whatever he wants to do.

If you didn't watch one episode, how can you say it was garbage? They played tons of covers by great bands like Pink Floyd, the Who, The Beatles, The Stones... that's garbage? On top of that, near the end, the remaining contestants could all sing an original... most of which were worth listening to.
This wasn't American Idol. Every singer I saw (at least in the last 10 weeks) was talented. I thought it was a good show and plan on watching it next season as well.
It's funny how everyone ragged on INXS for doing this because it was cheesy and gimmicky. But whenever what's his name from RHCP or Jane's Addiction or whatever crappy band he was in does it, it's pretty cool.

I didn't ragg on INXS for doing it last time. They pioneered this "lets find a front man singer thing" and it was clear they were trying to find the next errr what's his name not just going for pure talent.
Now on to this show. Every week (not that I watched every week) I hoped that lukas dork would not make but some how he did. Magni was better, but i think ultimately the band probably felt they could control this guy the most ego-wise that is.
Dilanna was more talented but the guys know the pitfalls of having a chick in the band.
The song they did sucked, i didn't notice any good outstanding riff and there definately wasnt' a lead part. the hook line was week.
If I was dilanna and gilby offered to write my songs, after hearing that one, i'd tell him to f' off.
