Turner is only valuable is you own LT. He's not going see that many carries maybe but one more time this year. Unless LT get's hurt.

I think he is worth a spot on your bench and worth a start when the changers play a weak team that they are going to score alot on.

There is not only ONE LJ, that sounds like frigging highlander...there can only be one.

There is always a RB who takes the place of an injured starter and is incredibly influential OR enough to decide a fantasy championship. For starters, LJ has done it two years in a row basically and McGahee before him (although LJ last year was an extreme situation).

I have had all three in all three years and all three have helped me, so to the originally poster, if you can pick up Turner I'd recommend it. However, don't pick him up if there are people who can get you points now. If you want, try and deal two above average players from situation where you have depth and can afford one loss for an influential stud to create room.

There was already a thread on the RBs with most potential to blow up this year, Turner, Maroney, Norwood, Jacobs, etc.
but one thing that I believe wasnt discussed was likelihood of starter getting injured factoring into equation. THEY CALL CAN GET INJURED, but but Dunn is old an dhas a history of going down and Dillon( one person mentioned this) was banged up allt he time last year, so Norwood or Maroney make more sense than Turner probably if they are still on the wire. Turner though is ready, and not just because of a 70 yard run like someone mentioned so why not take a flyer on him if you can.

One the Chargers stop facing teams like Oakland and Tennessee, Turner's value will decimate as they may actually have to try after halftime.

Agreed, his value now is all potential, and that varies from person to person. I wouldnt want to be in a situation at all where I had to start him in a flex.

Doesn't deserve a spot on your roster.
That's all I have to say 'bout that.

In a redraft league Turner only has value to LT owners (and only then in leagues with deep benches)

In a keeper league he has a bit more value if a largish number of players are kept as he may end up somewhere else next year in a non-backup role (i.e. Chester Taylor, Lamont Jordan, etc.)

In a dynsaty league he has a lot more value IMO as I think some team in the league will take a chance on him as a starter after his contract in San Diego is up.

While admittedly it has been in cleanup duty, a career 6.1 yards per carry average isnt too bad (and he has had 100 NFL carries).

Exactly...so if you happen to own this guy, sell him to the LT owner for something decent right now while he's thinking about it. ;-)

Should I pick up Adrian Peterson (RB-Chi)? He was a beast in college and in the preseason, and I have a really good feeling Jones and Benson will both quit the team in the next week.
