I have to put this out there before I keep going on this. I am a SF fan and have Gore in my main league, so I may be biased.
With that out of the way, all RB's are injury risks. Yes Gore was injured in college, but he's never missed a start in the NFL. See there are different ways at looking at this. Until he gets hurt, I can't see the justification labeling him as an injury risk.
Also, many young RB's have fumble problems. That can be fixed by coaching and practice. Yes he has had a fumbling issue, but I personally think the fumbles aided in his sitting last week with the ab strain. I don't think he's a top top value, but I don't know what kind of value you will get right now for him in relation to how many points he puts up this year.

As far as I know, he has not lost anything as of yet. The coaches hinted at wanting him to be able to do it, but saying they couldn't keep dealing with TO's. If you have a link, please give it.
I agree if he loses GL touches, then his value drops dramatically. Part of his appeal is his all purpose role.

Rookie running back Michael Robinson will also get significant playing time for the 49ers after scoring two touchdowns against the Eagles. Coach Mike Nolan said Robinson might replace Gore as the 49ers' short-yardage back after Gore's second straight game with a goal-line fumble.
"Whatever Coach Nolan wants to do, I'm fine with it," Gore said.
I missed the"might" the first time around. You are right, nothing is definite, yet.

With a back with dinged up ribs who's fumbled at the goal-line two weeks in a row I think it's safe to say who won't be getting the goal-line carries at least this week.

This will be you in a few weeks.
Really, im pretty sure these guys are putting me into second place.
