My second sig

I don't know how you guys do it, this frustrates the crap out of me, its like learning a new language. But I wanted to make my own sig, so here goes.

not bad for a second attempt, but it looks really grainy... I would work with blending you images a bit more, use the lasso tool, feather it and put a mask over it, adds a nice little effect to the images.

I'd recommend that you save it as a .jpg the next time you make a sig

Thanks guys, the feathering thing was a little over my head, but I got the border and figured out how to save it as jpg without going over 12k. I guess calling a border a border in photoshop would be too easy. Thanks for the tips.

feathering just makes your render blend in better with the bg, doesnt make it look like you just "stuck" the render on top of the bg - was it over your head because I didn't explain it well enough?

I'm not sure you could have, given who you're talking to, i did the lasso thing and went to the toolbar and started messing with the feather pixels, I wasn't sure what to do after that. Then I right-clicked and saw the feather option, again it asks me for a pixel radius so I put in an aproximate size of the 'render' and hit ok. Then I tried the mask thing, so first I went to quick mask mode, then I saw the option to add mask under layer and when it was all said and done either I didnt do it right or couldnt tell the difference. But yeah it wasnt your fault, the instructions would have had to been pretty exact for me to get it right
