According to wire services, Jets' defensive lineman John Abraham was charged with drunken driving after he drove his SUV into a fire hydrant and lightpole late Wednesday night. Abraham, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
The Jets are on the bye this week and Abraham was blowing off a little steam after four straight losses. Actually, from the sounds of it, he was blowing off lots and lots of steam. Again, you make millions, get a cab or hire a limo driver. It's not that difficult. Abraham, who has 2.5 sacks on the year, probably won't miss any playing time.
