Are you guys getting your gfx to be so small in file size? This has always been my weak point, but here on this board it stands out like a yankee fan at the red sox ws parade...

Anyway, just made this sig real quick for bigpapi and here's the normal jpeg high output:

and here's the one I "optimized" for this site:

get used to it ....the limits do suck, but there is nothing that can be done about it.

the limits really do hold creativity back....it still amazes me how some sigs can look so sweet under the limits...while some just get crushed in quality.

the one you made actually isnt too bad....just wait until you make one with more color...thats when you will see a huge difference.

It did take a hit, but since it was only 17 KB, it wasn't that big and thus didn't have that big of an affect on the sig.

17 to 12k is not a big drop off at all. You must be doing something wrong, because I'm not sure how any full quality sig isn't over 40k.

Just like a lot of mine when i tank em down in size.....i get the bluuuuur effect....like DLUX says, not much you can do cept run with it.

It was a big deal to change it from 10k to 12k so I'm not sure that we'll ever get a lift from that. Mostly because this isn't a dedicate graphics site and a lot of people are just looking for help, not high download times due to sigs.

A few months ago a couple of guys wanted more space. The fact is if you get more sig space everyone will use it all. This will cause the site to run much slower. Fewer people will use it because they dont want to wait so long. Proably finding another similar site. Well advertisments are what keep this site gonig. However who wants to advertise to no one? No one. So in the end it COULD cause the end of the site. Unlikly but it could. Either way it WILL cause the site to load longer and this is the FANTASY FOOTBALL CAFE first and formost. Sigs come 2nd (maybe there is prolly somthing that comes before sigs)
