keep him on the bench if you want to, but id start smith and take his solid 240 and 1 or 2 td's over favre's 300 yds and 3 picks
we won't be seeing you in the playoffs if you start Smith over Warner regardless of matchups

hmmm...wonder what happened this week, anyone feel like speaking up now about me not knowing what im talking about?
warner played a far weaker team and defense and looked horrid, 3 picks, Smith played flawless along with having a 50 yd TD called back....
Once again ill say it, you guys can be cautios all you want and sit smith on the bench, but the guy is very active when passing, and mobile to make things happen, he has weapons as well as alot of other qb's, and SF plays from behind majority of the time....
wont be seeing me in the playoffs if i start smith over warner regardless of matchups huh lol, you guys can keep him on the bench all you want, he hasnt had a bad game yet, warner has had 2, and alot of other qb's have had way more then that
LOL, I love it when the "I told you so's" start surfacing based on a one- or two-game sample early in the season.
Yeah, Warner was putrid this past weekend. But your saying Smith "hasn't had a bad game yet" is hardly a ringing endorsement for a quality starting fantasy QB. You said you'd take "Smith's 1 or 2 TDs a game." So far he's only had one in each of the first three games, so we're still waiting for that "2" to materialize. And it's not like he's shown anything so far in his NFL career to indicate he can do any better than that... not after 1 TD and 11 INTs last year. Of course he's better right now than he was last season, but personally, I'd try to get more than 16 TDs from my QB1 if I were you.
At this point in his career, Alex Smith is simply this: a developing young QB who will have some decent games and some bad games this year, who yes will pile up some OK numbers playing from behind, but who is still an iffy start at best most weeks. Hardly the stuff fantasy championships are made of...
