I beleive it's a hip pointer. The Steelers are saying they don't know if he'll play, but he keeps saying he's good to go. I can't afford for him not to produce this week, and I would be surprised if he doesn't play.

He is questionable for this week's game with a hip pointer. He has said he will play, but that's only from his mouth, haven't heard anything from the coaches/doctors other than the fact that he's questionable.

Well this settles it for me...I'll be starting Darrell Jackson unless something comes out that he FOR SURE will be playing.

I would sit him unless you have a really bad backup.

Satisfy my curiosity here Zimm. You said you were gonna play Portis despite the fact that he's in pretty much the same situation as Burress (as far as not not knowing whether he'll be in the lineup or not.) Why?

I will be making the decision to sit or start him as close to game day as possible.

Quote from Burress October 2: "It's just sore," Burress said. "It's nothing to worry about. I can run. I can cut. I'll be ready to go Sunday. I'm going. There's no question."

If your a Burress owner you'll like that. But he is still listed as questionable....OH WELL....If you ask me, I wouldn't even worry about it. He's gonna start, or he wouldn't have said that. And this is a good matchup for him this week. CLE poor run defense will open up the pass, and there will be a lot of deep balls to Burress and Ward.

It's not an issue. He's sore, he's still practicing and looking 100%. Start without hesitation.

Playing matchups is one thing, but if you ever see Hines Ward or Plaxico Burress on an injury report, ignore it unless it refers to death or amputation. Those guys are going to suit up and take the field no matter what. Toughest WR's in the game.

Good news update for Plax owners:

Oct 3 Pittsburgh wide receiver Plaxico Burress, who suffered a hip pointer in last week's loss to Tennessee and sat out Wednesday's practice, was expected to miss Thursday's workout as well. However, Plax said he was feeling so good he decided to practice anyway. "It feels a lot better and I just can't sit on the sidelines too long," Burress told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
