Caddy: Buy Low or Avoid Like the Plague?

Caddy was already underperforming with injury and O-line issues. Now he has lost his QB. Would you target him or avoid him?

This really belongs in the trade forum as this isn't an update nor is any real news. To answer your question though, I don't have Caddy on any of my teams and I don't want him on any either.

I'm avoiding him like the plague! Teams will be stacking the box now that Simms is out. Caddy wasn't looking great before that and I think he is battling an injury.

He is battling a back injury, but also claimed that he was completely healthy. He certainly has value in keeper leagues, but I wouldn't go out of my way to trade for him in a redraft. He's a RB2 at best for the rest of the year, so consider that when wheelin' and dealin'

I think Tampa has nowhere to go but up. Simms was just not getting the job done and I have a hard time seeing worse QB play even out of Gradkowski.

That said I would try to buy very low on Caddy right now. Chances are his owner won't bite on a WR3, a strong backup RB, or a shaky QB, but if that gets it done, congratulations.

I too would steer clear, I think he may turn it around at some point. But with Simms out, not any time soon.

GroupTHINK!!!!

Just like everyone LOVED LJ going into this year...you guys are all falling prey to the old-predictable....group think.

NOW is the time to JUMP all over Caddy.

He can be had for a song, and he WILL finish in the top 12 overall RB pts in performance leagues.

I feel strongly that THIS is exactly how you win at FF....doing the smart yet obvious moves when most are too nervous to do them....

Pick yourself out a nice Caddy....you'll thank me later!!!

Or go grab a smooth LaMont!!! That will be another good value in a few weeks as well...
It's a great day to play Football.

I couldn't agree more. I got LaMont for Mike Bell and trash WR. Now I'm working on acquiring Caddy.

i knwo this is a trade question, but I sometimes have a hard time valuing some guys. Think he can be had for a name WR?
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.

WHAT?! :-?

Caddy is already dinged up and is the centerpiece of an Offense that just lost it's QB and will be starting a rookie. 8 in the box anyone?

LaMont plays for the worst team in football, and they're also Starting a "Green" QB. Also, the Faders seem to have completely abandoned the Dump-Off Passes that made LaMont such a Fantasy Force to begin with.

How is acquiring either "smart" or "obvious"?

Stay away. FAR away.
