Good point. But what if you owned the team, and the commish gave you an ultimatum of throwing this game... Or receiving the same officiating the Hawks did in SB40 in your first, and every playoff game.

I'm sure the NFL bean counters are more than encouraged when one team wins over another, for whatever the reason is. Storylines= $$$.

That being said, there is no way in hell that they would ever jeopardize this bazillion dollar enterprise with anything remotely severe as tampering with an entire team to the point of psuedo-forfeit.

Frankly, they don't need to. The story had already been spun, regardless of the outcome of the game.

Who knew Vick was a bad passer? NO played their hearts out and won. Now they will be dominated by the Panthers this week. Like when the NYG came back against Philly... they go and get dominated.

I'm not sure the game was fixed, but NO getting Bush probably was. Who in their right minds would take Mario Williams over him? My guess is that the NFL was pissed that Houston threw those games (remember the missed chip shot FG?) to get the worst record and threatened them with no draft picks at all. Or they had to pass on Bush.
