Hou RB

Postby garretterik » Tue Sep 26, 2006 1:18 am

I know there is a Definitive RB thread, but I want some up-to-date info on the Hou RB situation. I have Parker on a bye next week and Dillon was my back up. I may need to hit the WW and have the options of Barlow against Indy or whoever is starting at Hou against Mia. The Texans RB has the better match up, but who starts? Will it be a RBBC?
I guess I could ask the same thing about NYJ, but it looks like Barlow is the starter and will get about 15 carries.

So far as I know Dayne is the "starter" in Houston. He had 14 carries last week (Gado had one), and would likely get the GL carries in any event. Of the s**tpile that is the Texans' RBs Dayne's your best bet.

Reports are Dayne starts again with Gado getting more carries. Barlow has found the endzone 2 of the 3 weeks.
A fool and his money are soon parted. I would pay anyone a lot of money to explain that to me.

dont touch the situation with the texans. ive had all 3 rbs at one time or another and can tell you they arent worth a roster spot when theyll get you 30yrds if lucky.

I've been stashing Gado on my bench ever since he got traded. IMO, it's only a matter of time before Gado is the fulltime starter and beats out Dayne or Dayne gets injured. I think he is talented enough to become a solid #2 RB if and when he wins that job.

Houston may be bad, but they do want to run the football. Late in the season (crunch time in fantasy) Houston faces a soft schedule and Gado could be primed to repeat the success he saw in 2005...
