Heres one of the biggest things though, SA has played in 99 straight games to this day, no 100 streak for him.

If 80% of this forum, which is made up of intelligent, diehard football fans, voted yes, then I'm sorry, but there is no denying the Madden curse. If this happened to Favre, and he missed the game before breaking Jaworski's consecutive starts at QB record... or he got injured before getting either his 400th or 421st TD, then Im sure some people would still say there is no such thing as the curse. I honestly didn't believe in it, but now that we see what is happening to SA, it just really makes you think. The fact that he is a RB who has played in 99 consecutive games is amazing in the first place; now he is going to be out for several weeks. It just overwhelmingly apppears that this curse is for real. But, like the Bambino's curse, everything must come to an end sometime. The madden curse going 8 for 8 so far can't be overlooked.

Lets put LT on it next year so he can break the curse? Thoughts?

I was not a believer. Amused at best. ... But that would be a lot of coincidences!

Believe or not the best choice is to not draft the person on the cover.

Let someone else take the risk.
First the Shock, then the Pistons can the Lions be next?

Well maybe next yr.

PS I didn't lose a paper bag challenge but somehow as a Lion's fan it just feels right.

I think the curse has more effect on fantasy football than anything else. Alot of teams who drafted SA top 3 were counting on him to be a top preformer. 4 weeks without your number 1 back means you have to plug someone else is. If you dont have a good backup, then those 4 weeks, if they turn into loses, could cost you the playoffs.
