As long as he is healthy for the 2nd half, I'll be fine with him. Probably better to get him healed than continue playing hurt.
I don't believe in a 'curse', but I have to acknowledge that there is a pretty significant coincidence of sub-par performances follwing a Madden cover appearance.
Put it this way, if LT goes for 2,000 yards rushing and 20 TD's and makes the Madden cover, I'm drafting him next year if he's avaliable.

Hm. Someone once asked Madden what was his favorite Torry Holt (this was a couple of years ago): the real Torry Holt or the Torry Holt in Madden (one of the best questions I've ever heard asked in an interview, btw). And Madden said, "Well, they're really the same thing. If the Torry Holt on the video game isn't looking right, we take some of the real Torry Holt and put him in there. And if the real Torry Holt isn't looking right, we take some out of the video game and put it into Torry."
Maybe he meant what he said and he's some kind of NFL-vampire. Hmmmm.......
I can't believe that over half of you could be so foolish. So tell me: Do you consult a witch doctor to decide who to start each week in fantasy football?
Although he had the best year of his career, rushing for 1,509 yards, catching 50 passes for 453 yards and scoring 16 total touchdowns
Did everyone miss this? If I draft a guy and he has the best year of his career, then I don't care if he bobbles a pass in the playoffs.
Anyway, I sincerely hope no one here really believes in the madden curse and anyone who voted "yes" did so as a joke. When a player has a career year, they get put on the Madden cover. Players coming off career years are likely to miss some time or have a dip in production. The so-called "Madden Curse" is nothing more than a confirmation of an already well known statistic.
it is one of those things that if it came down to the pick at #3, i'd pray that sa wasn't left and take him feeling sick - if he fell to me at #4 i'd take him, but still feel queasy, but #1 or #2? would've been LJ or LT for sure imo
usually the guy on the madden cover has a banner year the year before, usually a season or career record for carries, scoring, yardage, etc. and gets VERY beat up, which can often lead to the following season being less overall in numbers and more prone to injuries
and yes, i do believe in the madden "curse" as many other people here stated - no joke - but for the aforementioned reasons more then the mystical
70% beat up year before
20% contract renewal no motivation (or the like)
10% voodoo curse
