I'm thinking about using the Bengals again this week. They are already 3-0 ATS this season and I was reading somewhere that they've covered against the Pats in 8 straight. -6 isn't bad, just win by a touchdown.

Chi/Seattle -36 might not be bad either. Playing Chicago on the road, Seattle will not be able to run it with Morris. As long as Seattle's d can hold Chicago's offense , I think this should go under 36 total, something like 17-13 Chicago .

I'm kinda suprised that Baltimore is a home dog despite being 3-0.

I thinking of doing a two team, six point teaser. (A teaser is where you add points to the spreads but all the games you pick have to cover.)

The two I'm thinking of......
SD at Baltimore +8.5
Minnesota +7 at Buffalo

Any thoughts/opinions. Joshyboy, Daullaz, Mookie?

Minny is fine in the teaser, but I'd stay away from Baltimore. Old Man McNair isn't the player he once was, and San Diego is looking like a legitimate SB contender. I think the Chargers win this game by 10-14 points.

I'll tell you what, San Diego is going in my massive "Go for the Gold" parlay this week. I pick eight games, including some money lines, in hope for a huge payout. I barely missed on a five-teamer in Week 2 (I took the Skins when it looked like Portis would play) and a four-teamer last week (if only the Titans would have pulled out that game against Miami).

So what will it be for this week? Well, I haven't decided on all eight yet, but I'm pretty sure these will be part of it: MIN +100, SD -2.5, SF +280, WAS +130, HOU +170, DET +205. Besides that, I might take TEN +400 at home, maybe CLE -3, IND -9, or under on SEA/CHI.

Damn, I bet that pays out nice. 8-o

The only one I would absolutely stay away from is TEN +400. Even without TO, the Cowboys are going to win. Tennessee is allowing the 3rd most rushing yards, so I expect JJ and Barber to have big games. Besides, it will be another ugly game from Collins and Young. I think Dallas has one of the better defenses in the league and will shut down the Titans offense.

Jim I agree with you on Baltimore. They've looked pretty shaky so far, but they should be able to beat or stay close with San Diego at home. People seem to be high on the Chargers but they have only beaten Tennessee and Oakland.

How does the payout work on a teaser?

Well, Tennessee's going to win a couple games, just because no one goes 0-16. I figure those few win(s) will come at home. The only other game they have that's winnable is against Houston. I can see this one being a weird 16-14 game that goes to Tennessee. INT return for a TD?

I ended up going with SD -2.5, MIN, TEN, SF, HOU, DET, CIN -6, CIN/NE U 46.5. Wish me luck!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Rivers hasn't seen anything close to the Ravens defense yet.

Two team 6 pt. teasers payout the same as betting one game ATS. 11/10. I like playing teasers when no single line is really jumping out at me, as is the case this week. I do like the Bengals to cover, but it isn't a "bet the farm" type line.

Daullaz, since I'm a Cowboys fan, I will be rooting against your go for the gold play this week. Eight team parlays are ridiculousy hard to hit, especially when picking mostly underdogs straight up!!! 8-o

Well good luck to both of you gentlemen today! ;-D

I'll be rooting for the Bengals for the second straight week. It's funny, the first thing I heard when I turned on the radio this morning is a radio guest talking about the NFL games on WFan...and of course his upset pick of the week is the Patriots!

Because they haven't lost back to back games in years...blah blah blah ;-) :-? :-o
