Anyone else here trade Shaun Alexander just before the broken bone drama?

I've been worried about SA since start of season...
Madden curse aside, losing Hutchinson, and not playing for the big money...
Are serious red flags..

Thing is..
I just didn't want to give him away, if I traded him...
I wanted to get what I wanted, and
especially in my "Keeper" money league!

Yesterday morning Just traded:

Shaun Alexander and Chad Johnson

for:

LT straight up!
(The guy thought he was getting a steal, and taking advantage of me...)

I still own Anquan Boldin and Reggie Wayne at WR..(+Moulds/Cotchery/Colston)
losing CJ won't hurt much...

I was worried there was more to the "Foot" thing than anyone wanted to let on!

Within the hour after this story broke..
The guy wanted to cancel our deal, that had been confirmed to the league several hours before anyone had knowledge it was as serious as it is..."Broken Bone" and out for sometime...

Sux for him, but we all knew SA wasn't 100%...
(And he still owns Chad Johnson too now!)

I'm just soooooooo glad I was able to get LT...

Nice trade. Before the news I think you were getting the worse end of the deal (even with the bad first 3 games), but after that news you're in very good shape. SA and CJ will pick it up by the end of the season, and LT may crumble under that huge workload. But as of now, you're golden.

Traded away SA, Troy Williamson, 2007 first-round pick

FOR DeAngelo, Benson, DJax, 2007 second-round pick

Djax helped me win this past week, which was even better.

I did feel sorry for the guy I traded with though.......

How is picking up a player considered "dirty"? If the SA owner in my league wanted Morris that badly, he should have drafted him.

Yeah, but I almost traded for him!!!!
Dodged a bullet. Trade would have cost me LT. He wouldn't do it because it would cost him Chad. I called the guy yesterday and he said he'd do the deal now.

I had a situation kind of like this that was creepy. last thursday i was in desperate need of a backup QB and i saw bruce gradkowski was available and i picked him up thinking simms was going to be benched soon, then his injurie happends
