MARC BULGER = Every week starter

Postby Challie » Fri Oct 03, 2003 9:34 pm

Does somebody have quick access to 2002 starts?

I'm postulating that Bulger has not had a bad start in his 10 career starts. Can anyone back up this statement or disprove it?
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

If you go to nfl.com and hit the players button then find your player then hit game logs you can get his game by game stats for the last two years.

He's never had a terrible game. But he's not an every week starter unless your second option is a scrub like Drew Brees or something

2002:
10/13 Oakland 186yds 3td 0int 1rushTD
10/20 Seattle 265yds 1td 1int
11/03 @Arizona 245yds 2td 2int
11/10 San Diego 453yds 4td 0int
11/18 Chicago 347yds 2td 1int
12/15 Arizona 319yds 2td 2int
2003:
09/14 San Francisco 236yds 2td 0int
09/21 @Seattle 226yds 1td 2int 1rushTD
09/28 Arizona 272yds 2td 1int 1rushTD

Color me impressed. His Seattle games are his worst and they are very impressive as a guy's worst games. I'm sure opinions will differ, but this track record should make him an every week starter - except I like having Hasselbeck in there on the right matchup.

Can somebody show me a QB in the league that's been as consistent at fantasy QB as Bulger?
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

Here is 2003 which we all know

Then this is all I can find on 2002 for split stats. Note out of 7 starts he lost 1 game last year.

Hope these work for links Have not ever posted them.

I might argue Pepper

2001

I think that a player as you are saying is so consistant you can't ignore his Fantasy value. I would agree that the stats don't lie with Bulger and he is going to be an Every week starter. Pepper and Vick (if he wasn't injuryed) would be high every week players. The other I think Might be McNair cause no matter what he produces.

C-Pepp is a fine one, but got blanked from TDs (0 rush or pass ing TDs) in 4 of his 16 games last year.

I'm not saying Bulger is the best QB in the league or anything, but I saw someone here today scoff at the idea of him as an everyweek fantasy starter and I just don't see why not. 9 career starts, 9 adequate to killer results with not one clunker in the bunch so far.

I have bulger on my fantasy team, and he will be starting for me every week from here on out (other than this week, he has a bye).

I agree with you, Bulger should be a start-every week QB if you have no other options...Martz seems to love passing the ball up 30 against poor teams like the Cardinals...

I'm lovin my situation with Maddox, Bulger, and Vick...

I've been starting him but haven't gotten around to looking at his stats in each game last year. Impressive for sure. WOW

Bulger is an every week starter IMO.... but Hasselbeck is too and Hasselbeck is better. :)

The only other 2 on that level IMO are C-Pep and McNabb, and *maybe* Vick, but we have to see him on the field first.
