I know trading during the season is rare in the NFL, and those TJ Duckett to Dallas rumors are never going to come true, but I just found this quote from KC rookie RB Larry Johnson:
"They could have waited until next year to draft a back. They don’t really need me here. Priest is playing better than he did before the injury. I don’t even consider myself to be second-team. Derrick Blaylock would play if Priest went down, and Tony Richardson. They drafted me No. 1 and gave me all this money to be a practice player. It’s heartbreaking."
I'm not feeling sorry for the wealthy man, but wouldn't it make sense for KC to trade him? Maybe adding another first round pick next year, or depth at WR, or another linebacker? I'd have to think there would be a lot of offers for a high profile 1st round pick.
Just a thought.
