Online Broadcasting?

Postby Cleokatrah » Sun Oct 01, 2006 1:58 pm

Someone posted a great link a couple weeks that had, I believe, a directory for online broadcasts of local tv stations? Searching the web isn't turning it up. Anyone know what that link was?

There's TVU player that broadcasts a bunch of TV stations with some kind of P2P network. But most of their US TV feeds are from West Coast affiliates, so FOX and CBS channels will show 49ers and Raiders games respectively. NBC's Sunday Night game and ESPN's Monday Night Football is a nationwide telecast so those games can be watched without worrying about what game will be shown.

There's also SopCast that is similar to TVU, but they'll broadcast the local feed for certain areas, so some other games can be watched. Bears games are usually broadcasted for one example.

Here's their links.

SopCast

Dunno if this is what you were looking for, but I use TVU and for the most part, it works. Quality is what you'd expect from streaming TV and there's some occassional hiccups.
