I'm surprised no one has posted anything on this game yet. What is the general consensus on this one? I think Texas wins it close.

Oklahoma is my guess. The Longhorns haven't been all that awesome and it's never fun going into Norman.

Texas wins this. With the defense they have they'll make OU one-dimensional, and I don't care how good that dimension is (AD), it's next to impossible for anyone to beat a team like Texas when they don't have more than one offensive option.

Peterson has a decent day, but Texas wins by 14. That's my guess.

At like OK in this one as well. AD will run on TX and i am not sold on Tex this year.

CC i don't think this is in Norman, don't they play this in the Cotton Bowl?

This one is at the Cotton Bowl.

the best day in college football. ou/texas. we'll see how this turns out. i haven't seen much of texas this year. i hear that they have the "greatest defensive line in the country"...blah blah blah. we'll see. our O-line isn't that good, but they're getting better. paul thompson has surprised everyone by playing like a veteran. throwing the deep ball as well as anyone in the country. i think oklahoma plays smash mouth football and then burns texas deep.

thompson to malcom kelly FTW!!!!!

Maybe, but he's relatively untested, and Texas' defense is for real. They're fast and strong and they usually have good schemes.

Against their only comparable competition, Oregon, Thompson was a very mediocre 13-23/174/1/0. Texas' DBs are faster, stronger and better against the pass than Oregon's.

And I just want to make one thing clear - I'm not calling this a "definite win" for Texas. I just have a hunch they'll win.

It won't shock me at all to see Oklahoma win. They're not pushovers.

I just didn't want my ^^^^^ comment to make anyone think I'm dismissing OK as a team with zero chance.

Carry on. :-b

IMO, Oklahoma has more talent on both sides of the ball.

Edge:

Offense:

QB - Oklahoma

O-Line - Texas

RB - Oklahoma

WR - Oklahoma (barely)

TE - Oklahoma

Defense:

DL - Oklahoma (barely)

Linebackers - Oklahoma (barely)

Secondary - Even

Coaching - Oklahoma

Oklahoma wins in a close one. Texas is overrated every year (last year was an exception). Oklahoma is going to go in and run all over Texas and when Texas stacks the box, Thompson to Malcom Kelly all day!! You heard it here first! I bet even a trick play or two gets thrown in there. Also, look for the TE Joe John Finley to be involved.
