Last year was a fluke. OU is Mack Brown's daddy. When you lose as many times as UT has to OU, unless you are a lot better than the other team (IE last year) you are going to lose. OU expects to win this game every year. UT hopes to win it. OU starts back another streak of beating up on UT this year.

Also, in reference to knapp's post above about UT making OU one dimensional. I wouldn't wanna make OU one dimensional in the running game, I'd force them to throw, which is exactly what UT will do. They'll attempt to take away ADP and make them beat them through the air.[/u]

wow. Cant believe that OU seems to be the Cafe favorite. I havent seen UT play sense OSU but they gave the best team in the country a run for their money with a rookie QB and 2 key defense guys out. They've got their CB and LB back and McCoy should have a better grasp on the offense. I look for Texas to win this one. 20-10.

didn't ohio state run texas off the field? osu beat texas 24 - 7. that's hardly a run for their money. texas is overrated. every year. i'm pretty sure that texas is going to be missing their best defensive lineman this weekend. oklahoma has made some defensive adjustments and bob stoops is a dangerous man coming off an open week. just some food for thought.

That game was 7-7 late in the third quarter, then Texas made some mistakes. At least that's how I remember it secondhand, having been out of the country when they played.

I'd hardly call that overrated or getting blown out.

I fully expect OU/UT to be a good game, but if it's going to be a blow-out I have a hard time seeing Oklahoma being the blowout winner.

i never called either game a blowout or a potential blow out. texas is overrated. that's a fact. they always are. mack brown is a terrible coach. texas year in and year out has if not the top recruiting class one of the top 5. and if he hadn't just let vince young do what he does...he would have run that team into the ground last year just like every other stacked team he's had there. i'm not as comfortable this year with OU's team going in to the OU/UT weekend as i have been in the past few years (last year excluded), but i wouldn't say i'm scared. Texas - vince young = a good weekend for OU.
