well the media loves to talk about it, and people like yourself like to make threads about it, so its kinda contradictory, by you posting a thread, because i saw it and didnt think much about it....he's only as big as people who feed into it and make stuff a story

whats wrong with speaking your mind? that used to be a good quality in society, now it is frowned upon? Is it his fault that every meal the guy has is recorded by a reporter, or a blog somewhere? That ESPN has a huge man crush on him?

What has he done to embarass you? and if he is so dispised, why are marketing companies stilll endorsing him ?
no, speaking your mind WHEN appropriate is a good quality.
A lot of nastiness, insults, etc., can be under the guise "hey, I was just being honest."
How many people "speak their mind" when their wife or girlfriend asks if their butt is too big? How many would want total honesty abou ttheir physique, or sexual techniques or what have you?
The point being is that he lacks discretion.
Total honesty can also be brutal honesty if you want it to be.
So no, "just speaking your mind" isn't a commendable quality. In fact, back in the day people spoke their mind less and followed etttiquite more. It simply wasn't polite to just say whatever popped into your head.
