I hate polls. They're so freakin' biased. How is it that West Virginia has TWO First Place votes but sits behind Michigan with none? I'll tell you how - several people have WVU ranked VERY low, that's how. That is simply ridiculous.
I have waning respect for polls with this kind of disparity.
I dunno, a lot of people are saying Michigan is the 2nd best team in the country, I would say they got a fair amount of 2nd and 3rd place votes whereas WVU probably mostly got 4th and 5th place votes.

Maybe. And it's early, so it's best not to get all balled up about these polls, but at the end of the day I think I'd rather have rankings based on numbers alone rather than someone's opinion.
The most intriguing story to me is seeing Boise hit the top 20. It's pretty likely they'll go undefeated again, so it'll be interesting to see if they can crack the top 12.

Yeh, the rest of their games are all conference games that they should win no problem but because of that I don't know if that will get them into the top 12 because they don't have any tough games left.

Florida - has beaten good teams in Tennessee and LSU, plays Auburn and Georgia in the next two weeks. 3. West Virginia - hasn't beaten anyone, but hasn't lost yet either. 4. Michigan - have beaten everyone by 13 or more and dominated ND. Two tough games in PSU and Iowa coming up. 5. USC - haven't lost yet, but haven't looked great either.
List looks good to me.
God Help Me, I just agreed with a Michigan fan.

Missouri jumped over NU and is now 19th? Are Chase Daniels and company for real? I havent seen a Mizzou game yet.
I think Mizzou is for real. The big12 North basically will come down to their game with NU. Its too bad Callahan is running the team like he is. If NU would go out there and blow teams ou like they should instead of playing clock mgmt, they'd be in the top15 instead of all these teams behind them jumping up because they seemed to look more impressive.
