Anyone know what the record for most tackles in a season is? Me and my friend were having an argument about it.

This is a total guess but Chris Speilman had a boatload one year.

Tackles aren't an official NFL statistic, so there shouldn't be a record.

Zach Thomas leads the NFL in tackles right now with 50. I remember seeing Brian Urlacher had about 140-150 tackles one season. I don't know what the most tackles in a season is.

I'm pretty sure Ray Lewis had like 221 tackles a few years ago... that may not be the exact number, but it was a boatload 8-o

Most Ray Ray ever had was 183.

Spielman had 195 one year. Still looking for the most.
