Leon Washington - 100 yards a fluke or not?

Postby skinsfan » Mon Oct 09, 2006 7:59 am

He received 20 carries and gained over 100 yards (somehow all during a 41-0 loss). Did anyone see the whole game? Was he grinding out these yards, or did most come on a few HB Draws and similar plays?

i think he got like 1 carry in the first quarter, but by the 4th he had already totalled 60 something yards. so eh...i dunno. after they started giving him the ball i dont know if barlow received any playing time at all.

It might have been garbage time, but the fact that Barlow only had five touches (for -2 yards) is big. Washington had basically replaced him by the second quarter. I liked him at FSU, and was surprised when he slid so far in the draft...could be a good pickup in deeper leagues.

I cut Barlow and my 2nd D (bye week filler) for Washington and Martin this morning. And I'd been confident about Barlow until now.

Most of the Jags defensive starters were out of the game when he racked up all that yardage.

He won't be putting up days like this very often, but he could win the starting job.

Barlow stinks, Washington is their most explosive back, i picked him up a few weeks ago, jets are buliding for the future, so no reason not to see what Leon can do
