Rookie of the Year?

Postby Twisted Sister » Mon Oct 09, 2006 10:45 am

I think Greg Jennings should get the nod... close with a couple of the RBs... but their veteran RB counterparts are all putting up great numbers too (sure Bush did well, but Duece went off yesterday too).

After yesterday's games, I think Jennings is on the verge of breaching into the top 10 of WRs in my league. A top 10 WR that's a 2nd round rookie... unbelievable!!! ;-D

Don't assess it too much now, but Leinart is my dark-horse candidate for ROY. If the season ended now, it'd be Maroney or Jennings, but if Bush can maintain the league lead at receptions, he may win it by default.

Speaking of which, is Reggie Bush in danger of becoming a Larry Centers? Or can we hope he becomes a Marshall Faulk? Because he's no LT2 and he's no feature between the tackles back for sure.

He will be a Faulk. The saints did not draft him 2nd overall to split carries his entire career

Or did they? Maybe get a lesser valueed back thats little known to run between the tackles and give Reggie alot of Big plays, outside runs, and passes where he can work his magic. Because alot of teams seem to have adopted the 2-back system and it would work perfectly in favor of Bush.

Bush
Jennings
Colston
Maroney
Leinart

are all in the mix at this point. Really too early to tell. If Driver misses significant time Jennings is gonna rack up some huge stats. He is my frontrunner at the moment.

I think you have to throw Drew into the mix as well. He's been great the last few weeks and I'd imagine he'll start to get a few more touches as the weeks go on.
