Time to drop Michael Robinson

Postby DbacksAllTheWay » Mon Oct 09, 2006 2:34 pm

I own Michael, but he has been a huge disappointment and couldn't even get it into the endzone yesterday. I added him for Berrian :-o :-° , and my team has now lost 3 weeks in a row. Is there any reason to keep this guy?

The only reason to have micheal robinson on a roster is if you are a Gore owner and you are worried about him getting hurt and need the SF RB production.

He should never have been on your team to start with.

I picked him up too, but there are better waiver wire picks and Gore was very solid this weekend.

How quickly things change. Not long ago ppl were adding MR based on WR/RB eligibility and possibility of being a goalline back due to Gores fumbilitis on the goal line. Even a thread about if it was ethically ok to put him at the WR spot if I recall.

To those who said there never was a time to add him, well a couple weeks ago he was a decent "flavor of the week" pickup, he hasn't put up anything noteworthy so obviously not a bad idea to drop him, but he did merit a roster spot IMO.

Dropping him for Berrian was a good move, only question...how was he still a FA?

There was a buzz about adding Robinson when Gore fumbled and go hurt in the Eagles game and his RB/WR elgibility was a nice bonus. I didn't have to give up much to grab him and I handcuffed him with Gore.

Anyone who didnt consider adding him to your team almost missed out on a great opportunity. If a goal-line RB who fills in often for Gore (if he continued to fumble) can play in the WR slot, thats pretty huge.

Unfortunately, hindsight is 20/20 so we're all acting like geniuses ;)
