It was a 4 yard penalty because they were at the 8 yard line. :-P

LJ is extremely flexible and probably bended with it. Try moving your neck, it's possible to get your chin past your shoulder depending on how flexible you are, any further is a no-no. This is definitely not further. But yeah I do think LJ made out big time lucky from this.

I want to know why the hell Rolle is still holding on there, LJ is clearly going down. You gotta let go of the friggen face mask at that point mon.

It was a dirty, dirty play, but it ended up doing the job in the end. With LJ out of the game, the Chiefs didn't score a TD from there, and nearly lost the ball on a couple of fumbles by Dee Brown.

That said, Rolle should atleast get fined for that, if not suspended.

It looked pretty brutal. Not the worse I've seen though. Back in '98, in the NU-KSU game, Eric Crouch had his head twisted backwards....and it wasn't called. :-t

He is very lucky- football is a brutal sport, and really anybody who does not exit the game with a serious injury is lucky in my mind.

To those of you calling for a suspension and/or fine for Rolle - were you even watching this game or is this all from this pic and/or instant replays?

I watched the play unfold in real-time and there is no way that Rolle did this on purpose with intent-to-injure or anything like that. He just ran down a pretty fast back on a 78 yard sprint and fought through a block - all he did was reach out and make a desperation grab for the first thing he could reach - unfortunately that ended up being the face mask. If you watch it in full-speed real-time you will see that even as he is grabbing LJ he is still off-balance and falling out of bounds himself - it was a fluke that he got a hand on him at all...

And, unless I am mistaken, stayed by L.J.'s side while he was down. May not mean much to you, but I thought it was pretty classy.

also anyone that plays football knows we dont wear out helmet so tight. there always some room in it.thats why you see helmets all over the field its not buckled on tight enough

im sure his head didnt go as far as his helmet if that makes any sense to you....
