It's just weird to see big name guys that have been FF mainstays for so long now sitting out there on the WW. Guys like T. Green, B. Farve, H. Ward, R. Smith, CMart, Priest, E. Kennison and D. Mason who used to be counted on are now just another piece of the trash heap. I know its just natural progression and it happens every year, but it just feels weird to see these guys on the WW and I'm not racing to pick them up. Instead I've got guys like Berrian, Jennings & Colston. Weird feeling....just weird.
That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!
I dont know the quality or size of your league, but guys like Ward, Smith and Mason may not be the super studs we are used to seeing but they would never see the ww in my league. They can definitely still produce for you, especially during the bye weeks.
seriously....none of them are in my ww....only people left are like greg lewis travis taylor and those type of wrs haha...must be easy league.
D LEE My Team
QB-Mcnabb, Leftwich
RB-Portis, Jordan, Barber III, Dayne
WR-Chambers, Mason, Evans, Williamson
TE-R. Mcmichael, V. Davis
K-Graham
D-Jags
Bench-Eric Parker, Leon Washington
I am in a 10 team league with 15 players per team. We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2WR, 1 Rb/WR/TE flex, 1 TE, 1 K & 1 D/ST. I personally dropped Mason myself. Who on my roster should I have dropped instead?
My Roster:
QB's - J. Delhomme, J. Kitna
RB's - L. Tomlinson, B. Westbrook, K. Jones, R. Droughns, M. Turner
WR's - T. Holt, S. Smith, L. Coles, G. Jennings, B. Berrian
TE - A. Gates
K - Vinatieri
Def/ST - B-Ravens
That being said....Ward was just dropped yesterday and I highly doubt he will not be picked up asap as soon as he clears the 2 day locked period. Mason has been on the WW for a week at least. Guess that's what happens in a smaller league and player doesn't perform well.
That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!
yea that is normal for 10 team leagues, i miss having that type of production...mason has been a let down but i just traded for him and im happy to gain him with who i already have....glenn, bryant, reggie williams and matt jones....thats as bout as good as u get in deep leagues, but i work with it...
on a side note, i think d mason will turn it around with mcnair very soon, more so then chambers and/or moss....ill make sure i have him when he does

Both Heap and Mason have 41 targets so far this season. While Heap has more redzone targets than Mason (7 compared to 5), I'm not sold on the fact that Heap is the main target in Baltimore.
As a Mason owner I'm not giving up on him yet, but will only start him depending on the match-up.
