Yahoo will probably change it to a NON-defensive TD.
If the defense switches to offense after the (it doesn't), then how the hell can there EVER be a defensive TD?
Not a defensive TD. Some leagues may score it that way by default.
The NFL doesn't like to count a tackle as anything but a defensive statistic, but if the teams in fact do change sides after a fumble or INT, I would argue against any defensive INT or fumble being returned for a TD. They are less concerned by the implications of this scoring quandry for fantasy players.
This is what, the 3rd or 4th time this has happened already? This comes up every year. If your league is worth a damn, it's already been settled how it is scored.
All leagues need to make their own decision on how to score it, and it has to remain constant. The best 2 ways to handle it are either let the scoring rules instituted handle it and leave it be, or decide that a team is designated as being on offense or defense from the beginning of the snap to the end of the down. Switching to offense or defense mid-play just creates too many judgement calls that most people will not think thru to their logical conclusions. (i.e. a team getting an INT suddenly becomes the offense, returns the INT for a TD, but then they score it as a defensive TD. They changed from defense to offense back to defense after they crossed the goal line? It just falls apart too many ways)
The meek ain't gonna inherit $#!%....'cuz I'll TAKE IT!
