Hmmm, I'll take the counter-point.
I've seen Vermeil say he wants to get Hall more involved in the offensive, he wanted to find ways to get him the ball, etc. I think he has a good chance to expand his role.
I'll make this comparison. Faulk was a scat back with fading succes with the Colts. The Colts were eyeing Edge. Vermeil targeted Faulk as a guy he wanted to build an offense around, and Faulk became the most devastating force in fantasy for years.
Vermeil goes to KC, gets the unwanted Priest Holmes from the Ravens for cheap. Ravens eyed Jamal Lewis. Priest is touted as a 'poor man's Faulk' in fantasy drafts. It takes a few weeks for him to get it going in KC, but when he does, Priest kicks Faulk to the curb as the fantasy elite.
Vermeil had a KR specialist named Az Hakim. Vermeil went thru this same talk, he wanted to get him more involved in the offense, etc. Hakim became a decent fantasy option behind two early round WR's.
Vermeil goes to KC blah blah blah Dante Hall blah blah blah KC has no real threat at WR blah blah blah. Hall could surpass Hakim's value since he is more explosive blah blah blah.
He's worth picking up and putting on your bench.
The meek ain't gonna inherit $#!%....'cuz I'll TAKE IT!
