If we took all of that banter seriously, or even heard it for that matter, we'd have a whole different understanding of the game. I'm sure he doesn't actually think Marvin is a bad receiver, it's just jealousy that he thought a few teammates would hear. I don't think they should have aired that bit, but I guess it makes for good ratings I guess.
He knew he was miked, and he knew the nation would be listening. The sad thing is, in his own mind, he probably really believes he's in the same class as Marvin.

I know you love the guy...but C'MON! EVERY pro fantasy football drafter had Harrison #1. He was the ONLY player in ANY position to be ranked #1 by all 12 pro teams. INCLUDING...KFFL, SPORTSFANS and Sportsguys. Harrison has proved he is the best, and will remain the best throughout the rest of the year.
Yeah, Harrison is the best WR in the league. Sure, Manning makes him look good but Harrison makes Manning look good too. Moss is an amazing playing but he's just known for the big plays downfield. Marvin is a great combonation of a possession and big-play receivers.

The football gods punished his team for smack talk before the game was over, the same way Michael Strahan and the Giants were punished last year in the playoffs. Save your smack talk for after the Super Bowl.
