Yup. I'm sick of it. *Press 1 for English*.

I fired off an email to NFL.com shortly after I caught that commercial.

honestly i don't think its that big of a deal. the nfl is just trying to spread american football to other parts of the world, whats so bad about that? The commericial doesn't have bad intentions, it's not like they are saying "SPANISH IS THE ULTIMATE LANGUAGE AND YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND IT!"

Most people in Europe speak more than one language. If you go to Holland its not uncommon to find someone who speaks Dutch, German, English and French.

Of course we have no time for such nonsense we have FF to worry about.
First the Shock, then the Pistons can the Lions be next?

Well maybe next yr.

PS I didn't lose a paper bag challenge but somehow as a Lion's fan it just feels right.

"Press 1 for English" Good one.. ;-D

This actually means that businesses have had to adjust their ways to adapt to the huge Hispanic population in the U.S. If they didn't, they would loose out.

In the next 10 years or so you will be hearing: "Press 1 for Spanish, 2 for Arabic, 3 for Chinese, 4 for Hindi. If neither of these apply, stay on the line for English".

Adapt America...

good show old chap. totally agree. people, all your bellyaching about speaking "american" isn't going to get you anywhere. learn another language. expand your horizons. do it for yourself, not because you "have to". christ.

The fact that there are enough non english speaking people in this country that we have to air a commercial in spanish is what bothers me.

But I am not racist :-)

Mat mat, solid posts ... all
