Joe Horn, Just one great week?

Postby kevster1 » Mon Oct 16, 2006 5:51 pm

"Joe horn finally had a great game". I don't expect that kind of game on a regular basis, but perhaps he may be establishing some chemistry with Drew Brees. My only concern is their are too many weapns in New Orleans. I would welcome any input on what the next 10 weeks will hold for Horn. Thanks.

Jpe Horn is inconsistent bvecause he is getting older, but Joe Horn has a good QB now, and joe horn has a damn fine option across from him, and probably one of the most intimidating lightning and thunder run games to keep defenses guessing.

Depending on your team, he maybe isn't a start in all situations guy anymore, but I wouldn't totally "sell high" on him either, unless you know you can translate that to definite advantage.
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.

I just read an article that Sean Payton was quoted as saying
I've got to keep doing a better job of getting (Horn) involved early on

and then a second article that quoted him as saying
(Horn) is a guy that if we can get him some early touches, he gets his confidence going. I was excited he got his first touchdown (of the season), and his second touchdown came off a play we had put in during the course of the game, to his and (quarterback Drew Brees') credit. Those guys saw something, and we made a little adjustment.

Now I'm not about to say that Joe Horn is about to put up solid numbers from here on out, but maybe he has his coach's confidence now and will be fed a couple more passes early in the game. And if he's fed more passes and makes them they'll just keep coming.

That could be the difference between the 50 yard outings that Horn has been getting into 80 yards per game and a couple of TDs throughout the rest of the year. I can handle that from my #3 WR any day.
