How BAD is EDGE?

Postby kemper5 » Mon Oct 16, 2006 9:11 pm

I know he no longer has a great line to block for him, but man he looks bad..1 yard here, 2 yards there and thats about it..19 attempts and 38 yards.. Are the Cards going to wake up and see he won't get you 4-6 yards a pop? For the year he's averaging 2.9 yards a carry.. Man Im glad I did not draft him..

I can see him ending up with 80 or 80 + yards with atleast 1 TD

I say he goes 65-75 yards and 0 TD's...He's ran 19 times for 38 yards.. That is really bad, and I do not see the Cards running him 35+ times tonight which he's on pace for

Why not? I would think the Cards would want to run out the clock to kill time.

Not at his pace, he's only averaging 1.9 yards per carry, if they keep running him, they will give the Bears alot of opportunities as he they will go 3 and out alot

No matter how "bad" he is, you can't just be one dimensional. If they did that, they'd play a 3 man front all night and double cover the WR's.

For as bad as the run blocking is though, they could probably get away with it and still tackle him before he gets too many yards. :-/

Running the ball and keeps the defenses honest and kills the clock (which is a good thing when you're winning). No matter how bad things are, there will still be run plays.

well it's not like chicago has a bad run D or anything.it's kinda hard to break any kind of run when as soon as you get the handoff two LB"S are in your face.

Edge started off with 7 carries for 31 yards. Ever since then, The Cardinals OLine decided to stop blocking after the first drive.
