Apples vs. Oranges man.. I'm a Bear fan, so I love what Anderson is doing, but his performance is a function of game situation where the Bears have gone up big (exception being Arizona) and the opponent is forced to sit and the pocket and protect for a deep pass.

Houston's opponents have the luxury of running the ball about as much as they want. Without situational pressure, the Houston D can't exactly make any offense one-dimensional.

Mario Williams will be a big part of the Texans success (if they have any) in the future. They still should have drafted Reggie Bush. He would have been more of an impact player.. this year and beyond.

eh well he had that big play last night and pushed around steve hutchinson in the close vikings game. obviously not the biggest sample size, but i think the bears got a steal in the 5th, while the texans absoloutley blew thier first pick.

Question: What does Mark Anderson have in common with Demeco Ryans and Roman Harper, other than being a rookie defensive player that is making a splash in his first NFL season (Harper looked very good until he tore his ACL)?

Answer: They were all starters on Alabama's defense last year. Each of these guys was downgraded during the draft due to limitations physically (speed, size, etc.), but their intelligence as football players and ability to always be around the ball have served them well so far.
