i'd take plummer over hasselbeck. and i agree: this one's not even close.

Man, I just don't get some things on this forum.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But to satisfy my own curiosity, knowing what you like about Plummer, what *don't* you like about Hasselbeck that makes you choose Plummer with no hesitation?

Guys, I just started this because I can get Plummer. I have Hass. I think he is the better QB, I now am not going to trade for Plummer because I think I would never start him.

hasselbeck has been good when the defenses have been bad. his games at the end of last season were great, but against poop. same deal so far: he finally met a halfway decent defense in green bay and looked flustered and anxious.

the good news for you hasselbeck owners is that seattle has an easier schedule than my dead grandmother.

the bad news is that you can't keep relying on your opponent to be slow, tired and dumb for a whole season. you actually have to be good in your own right.

plummer, for all the public flogging the man takes for his years in a girl scout uniform, has settled in, and is good. he has learned to let the people around him help him win games. he is relaxed and poised, and becoming more so every game. his schedule, incidentally has not been quite as forgiving as that of the 'hawks. but here we have a performer whose success seems to be contingent more upon the quality of his own play, rather than that of of his opponent.

plummer over hasselbeck.

kid a, you're my boy. you have a great screen name (great record). i hope this helps you understand my earlier contributions to this forum.

That's all I was looking for. :)

I can't even disagree with anything there either. I just think when you combine the style of the offense, with the horrible defenses they will face, with the great WR's in Seattle, there is no way Hasselbeck doesn't finish a top 3-5 QB. I could be wrong, we will see.

And I have to admit, Plummer has made me eat a large helping of my words this year. If this past Sunday is an example of a "bad" game for Plummer, he's in for a Pro Bowl season. I'll still take Hass though. :)

Thanks for the screen name love, definitely a great record! I'd take it over OK Computer. But I'd take Hass over Plummer, so what do I know? :)

#2 QB Peyton Manning

#4 QB Patrick Ramsey
#5 QB Jake Plummer
#6 QB Drew Brees
#7 QB MATT HASSELBECK
an so on...

Hass. is ranked lower. These are from weekly average, since it is not fair to go by total points, since Hass has already had a bye. I have Hass, so I am not tryin' to diss him, but I don't think it is as big a difference as you think.

Pretty close to mine.

Personally, I like Hasslebeck over Plummer - one thing to note about QB rankings up until now: Hasslebeck has played one less game (his bye week was week 4), and Plummer's Broncos are week 10
