Mike Alstott, out for season

ESPN reported just a moment ago, that Mike Alstott is out for the remainder of the season. With Pittman in legal troubles, does this bode well for Thomas Jones?

Dude, I hadn't heard that, but I have't heard that Pittman won't play the whole year. I don't think his hearing is scheduled until November, so I think he should be able to play a while.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without their all-time leading touchdown-maker for the rest of the 2003 season.

The team announced early Tuesday evening that it had placed fullback Mike Alstott on injured reserve as a result of the neck injury he aggravated Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Players placed on injured reserve may not return to action at any point during that season.

That was one of nine moves the Buccaneers made late Tuesday afternoon involving four roster spots and one practice squad slot. Those moves are as follows:




Placed Mike Alstott on injured reserve

Waived/injured LB Jack Golden

Released WR Marvin Minnis

Released DE Ron Warner

Signed LB Vinny Ciurciu

Re-signed WR Charles Lee

Claimed S Travares Robinson off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons

Signed LB Justin Smith from the practice squad to the active roster

Signed RB Travis Stephens to the practice squad

Alsott thing is news to me, Pittmans hearing is set for Jan 04 so he is good to go. Pittmans value rises if Alstott is out for the year. Jones im not so sure about.

Alstott's a battering Ram. Too bad he's gone. He's just fun to watch. It took like 6 or 7 Colts 10 seconds or so to bring him down one play, and I think they got called for a late hit to boot.

On the other hand I picked up Pittman so HIZZELL YEAH!!!!!
