In my league defensive players on a really really good day can score upwards of 10-15 pts. Joey Porter last year had a 23 pt game (~16 or so tackles, three sacks, 2 ints, ~5 PDs)!!! It really evens things out when your defense can actually make up for a poor offensive performance.

Now if only I had David Thornton....

I grabbed Thornton a couple weeks ago. He is on pace for huge tackles. Andra Davis is an option at LB if the others are gone. Z Thomas loses ALOT of value if you don't count assisted tackles. Nick Barnett has been solid

Winfield is a definite pick-up for DB plays. Jackson is right behind him. Ken Hamlin has been solid.

I prefer IDP leagues as well. I haven't convinced our money league to go that way, but I routinely play the crappy D that goes off for 6 sacks, a TD or 2 and a handful of turnovers. It's pathetic.

Luckily I seem to have very good luck on Sunday and Monday nights, so it all averages out I guess.
