Ronnie Brown has. His stats were superb last year for a guy splitting time, and he's been a top-flight back this year, on the verge of the elites. I'd say if he has two more games like he did Sunday, he'll be in the mix with Portis, LT2, etc.
ummm, last year he ran for 907 yards and 4TDs, with 4.4 ypc. not bad, but not a proven stud.
ok, so this year, breakout? well, he has a 3.8 ypc, which is very poor, and 405 rushing yards in 6 games, with 4 TDs. So his TD numbers have been solid, but he is on pace for around 1100 yards rushing, and he isn't splitting time....that's not that great.
o, i might add, his rushign stats are inflated by the fact that he played the jets last weekend, and we have like the worst rushign defense ever. we allow everyone to rush for 100 + on us.

QB: Jason Campbell (that's right) RB: Musa Smith RB: Verand Morencey WR: David Tyree WR: Chris Henry (somewhere) TE: Vernon Davis K: Zidane (he could tackle guys with his forehead) D: STL in a year will be top-5 or better
I think Maroney has the most potential in the near future, though I would like to see Caddy, Benson, Brown from the celebrated draft class of 2005 step it up.
The reason Maroney has looked better than Caddy and Brown is because he is in a better system period. I can guarantee you that Maroney would not be playing better than Brown right now if he was on the Fins right now.
And no, Maroney does not have the most potential of the 4 backs listed. Potentially, Caddy and Brown surpass him, hence where the players were draft.
isnt anyone concerned about the fact that adrian peterson has gotten hurt in EACH of this 3 years in college.
Granted, they arent career ending type of injuries, but if he cant fix that problem, he could be one of those guys who is great, but misses a few games every year.
Peterson getting hurt does concern me. Great discussion. I was looking for feedback on the All Fantasy team two years out. Some would say my initial list are all studs, and many are, but not the top gun at the position. I see LT and Alexander dropping off some. Ditto for Owens and Harrison. Will Holt be the top gun? Is LJ still there. Will Leinart bump Palmer and Manning?

and i could see leinart taken as the 2nd-4th qb taken....after manning, between mcnabb and palmer..
Ummmm...that's what the topic of discussion is. Anyway:
QB: Young (Somebody other than Leinart will be good)
RB: Maroney
RB: Brandon Jacobs
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Chad Jackson
TE: Vernon Davis
K: Who knows
Def: See above

these are guys that I think will have a marked improvement next year over this year.
Aaron Rodgers??? You can't be serious. That is the ultimate homer pick of all time. That team is a sinking ship and Rodgers has shown nothing at all yet. Ugh.

I think he's talking about the future, not '06. Rodgers has the tools, he just needs a line...
