Wondering what realistic projections we are looking at now that McGahee has been activated by the Bills? I mean, really, this guy is coming off a knee surgery that normally takes a heck of a lot more time to heal. He's also a rookie -- not many rookie RBs become fantasy gold in their first season. However, I have Henry on my roster, and know several owners in my league would love to sniper me on McGahee. Should I snag him now, or can I wait?

Better to be safe than sorry. In the league I have Henry in, I picked up McGahee yesterday. However, I'd only do it if you can afford to burn a roster spot on a guy who most likely won't see much action this year.
I'd drop Joe Burns for him. Looks like Henry is back, and if something happens and Burns has to play, I can start Garrison Hearst (who I'd rather start than Burns, anyway).

I'd say that's a good move. I dropped Kevin Faulk for him.
I don't really think he'll replace Henry, but I'm not taking any chances.
while i am sure that that was an error, i am not so clear on whether you emphatically meant to advise us to stow away mcgahee, or stay away from mcgahee.
If you have a spare roster spot, maybe, just maybe he would be worth it, but lets be realistic, coming back from a massive knee injury and with a top RB in front of him. Expect a few carries late in the year while they start to get him ready for next year.

I heard that he was examined by a Univ. of Miami ( ) doctor who said he could practice, but had not been cleared by the Bills yet, and would most likely practice for a couple weeks before being placed on the active roster....

Yeah, but my point is, if your season is riding on Henry, McGahee might be nice to store at the bottom of your roster for piece of mind.
