LJ 132 yards and 2 TD's so far against the Chargers Run D

You can chalk it up to LJ's stud-ness if you like. Bad day for defenses so far this week. All three of my defenses gave up too much points today, Jacksonville, San Diego, and Pittsburgh.

San Diego was missing a key component of their DL for this game. With Igor Olshansky out, they cannot be considered a top run D IMO.

LJ is not that good!

As the season goes on teams get their offense in gear as the pre-season is wayy too short and useless.

They will be good but nowhere near as good as they were at the beginning of the year.

Olshansky is a big part of that D-line. His backup, Cesaire, is competent, but it's not the same, and against LJ it's definitely not the same. I'd say the Chargers D might be able to do alright against most RBs, but with a talented RB that can catch, the Chargers D is in trouble. If a healthy Westbrook was playing against the Chargers, he'd put up big numbers.

Right now the Chargers' D is nowhere near as scary as the beginning of the season. Fantasy-wise they aren't going to perform at the same level either.

Yeah, Merriman out for 4 games now. (On steroids...who would've figured? I thought he was naturally a freak of nature...) Anyway, Charger D is going to be average until they get some of these guys back.

Which sucks, because they are my main fantasy option...I guess I'll have to rely more heavily on Plindsey!

With Olshansky and Phillips out...now Merriman...definitely a huge downgrade. Looks like the offense is going to have to step it up if they want to salvage the next month or so.

Besides, after the KC game, I don't think any player on the SD defense is even capable of making a tackle anymore. LJ practically skipped into the end zone with 3 or 4 SD defenders on his back.
