What wouldve happened
if wen westbrook got to the goal line
he decided to walk around it a bit
n then wen the clock wound down
he jumps in and scores
does he get called for taunting
or is he just playing a legitimate clock run down game

dude i said this to my dad, he could have ran 10 more seconds off min. if he did that...i don't see it as illegal @ all...until the defender gets near you just run to the opposite pylon...then dive in...
When you watch the reply.. you can see that slows down and it looks like hes going to do just this.. knowing the NFL... they would of called the officals and took the TD away or fined Westbrook or something stupid...
This is the kind of thing I would do in Madden. I doubt it would be allowed. He would probably get a 15 yard penalty and a huge fine next week if he did something like that. But it's very logical and you would think he should do it. He did start running way slower though which was cool.
When you get the game back like that, so late, you don't expect the Spanish Inquisition--err you don't expect to lose. He COULD have changed direction somewhat and eaten more time, but 10 seconds... I doubt it. But the real factor is that he probably couldn't imagine losing it that deep into the game.
Considering most CBs can run the 40 in 4.5 secs or better... he probably could have shaved 2-3 seconds off.
I don't think there is a rule against that... it's not taunting.
I think it is not even realistic to think that a running back is going to slow down in the NFL on the go-ahead score (assuming extra point). Anybody remember Leon Lett (I think) in the Bills vs. Cowboys Superbowl... slowed down and had the ball stripped at the 1 yard line from behind.

I think I've actually seen that before, but I couldn't tell you when or who. If he was obviously taking time off the clock and not dancing at the 1 yd line or pointing and laughing, I don't think they would have called taunting.
