Is Manning Selfish?

Postby bobbing_headz » Mon Oct 23, 2006 6:01 pm

Seems to me that throws a lot when he's on the goal line or really close. Possibly because of a lack of a running game or is Manning just greedy?[/quote]

lol are you fa real?

they keep throwing it because he disects the defense and picks apart the secondary, if it aint broke dont fix it....he can consistently throw on the 1 yd line, and score, i dont think he cares more or less about stats, but they dont have a big pounding back, and it just seems so easy to have him throw inside the 5, if i were the OC in indy id call a passing play too, he doesnt get picked off that much, and even fewer in the redzone

I do think he pads his stats a little bit to much. There have been times when the Colts were up huge on teams and we would continue to air it out on them and have 4-5 TD games. I have no problem with him throwing it at goal-line..but when you are up 3 TDs, you don't need to keep throwing 20 yard passes to Wayne and Harrison.

Who cares if he freaking is ?

People that have him starting as their QB on their fantasy team aren't complaining

Manning is selfish because he scores TDs. Man, you guys are rich. Ever thought that maybe he passes near the goalline BECAUSE IT WORKS? C'mon this isn't little league, there is no mercy rule in the NFL.

We saw last year or two years ago the Colt's come back from like 3 or 4 scores with just minutes left in the game. No lead is safe in the NFL.

Yes he's selfish....and he single-handedly sunky my main fantasy team this week! I'm sure he had that on his mind as he was throwing all those TD's :-P

Obviously, this is a dead issue. Manning is the best qb in the game Period. And the bottomline is he throws alot of TD's, and wins because of it.

What should he do? Take a knee? Call perhaps a play that probably wouldn't work too well? This isn't the little league. If the coach has him out there he should do all he can on each and every play.

Too bad he chokes and collapses in the playoffs when it matters the most.
