Seems to me in years past when he was putting up great passing numbers there was some guy, I think his name was Edgerrin James, who had some pretty good running stats:
2003 - 1259 yds/11 Tds
2004 - 1548 yds/9 Tds
2005 - 1506 yds/13Tds
Those don't make him sound very selfish at all! This year with 2 RB's trying to be #1, maybe he's throwing it a little more in the red zone until one of them proves himself to be a stud. And with all the WR threats he has, why wouldn't you use them. Is he selfish - no, but FF players are who think he should play the game the way it would most benefit them!

they keep throwing it because he disects the defense and picks apart the secondary, if it aint broke dont fix it....he can consistently throw on the 1 yd line, and score, i dont think he cares more or less about stats, but they dont have a big pounding back, and it just seems so easy to have him throw inside the 5, if i were the OC in indy id call a passing play too, he doesnt get picked off that much, and even fewer in the redzone
Well said LS2. Thats exactly why they throw it.
When is the last time you remember Manning throwing an int in the red zone?

This hoosier says who gives a monkeys ass. No one reads defenses like him and if he says pass then I say whoop whoop!
Everyone thought Vick would redefine the QB position but you know what Manning did.....he proved that dillegence in learning is the most deadly on field weapon.

I think he is selfish, cause ultimately he calls the plays.
Why don't you go back and look at Indy's conversion % from inside the 5 when they run, and conversion % from inside the 5 when they pass and then rethink your posting of this thread.
