I want to do it, but there are too many back-ups availble. Who should I get?

I almost did that exact same thing with Lamar Gordon back when Marshall was healthy. Too bad i WAITED and Marshall actually got hurt. Lamar got snagged up real fast!!

Our league has a bit deeper benches, so I drafted Larry Johnson, Bulger, and Gordon. Two outta three ain't bad...

this is a real good one....on nfl.com you are allowed to post articles that show up on the league website....i kno all of u are thnkin what i was thinkin...make up an article! so naturally i did, made up somethin about how Portis's knee was grazed by a bullet in a drive by shooting in downtown Denver, and he was out "indefinitly"...guy panicked, checked every site he could think of, and then came back all pissed off. Definitly a fun way to screw wit ppl

Thats great, Ramrod. Only a Ram fan would be that gullible.

Look for one of two things- a guy who is horribly underproducing, or a guy backing up a heavily used or injury prone player.

You might want to look into picking up the backups for Eddie George (horrible underproducer) or Fred Taylor (Mr. Fragile himself). Also, backup QBs usually aren't as safe of bets, but I'd put serious consideration into picking up Maddox's backup. It was just a year ago that Stewart got benched for going Int-crazy, and Maddox is the second lowest paid starter in the league (ahead of only Bulger), so Pittsburgh wouldn't be hurt too badly by it. I'm not saying it's likely, but there's a lot of potential in getting a guy cheap and having him wind up throwing to Ward/Burress.
