IF Tiki in fact does retire and IF Jacobs becomes the man, he is better than half of these guys. I also think the Chicago situation will clear up some next year as well.
If I'm not mistaken, Dillon is due a rather large bonus at the end of this season that the Pats may not want to pay him considering how good Maroney has looked so far. I'd probably be more surprised to see Dillon still in NE than him leaving/retiring.

I would say this is a bit much. IF the Giants said, "Yes, Tiki is retiring. No, we're not getting anyone else. Yes, that job is going to go to Jacobs." THEN I would say he would be a top-15 RB keeper. Until then, however, I'm not even sure if he makes the top 30. Without thinking too hard about this, and in no particular order, RBs > Jacobs for keeper right now.

So ok, around top-25 RB, keeperwise. But I'd still say gambling and probably at the bottom of the list of the five that I listed as similar. Since I would expect if any of those five got promoted for whatever reason, they'd be the sole back. Whereas I'm not so sure on that with Jacobs.
Long story short, if I had him I would trade him. If I didn't have him, I wouldn't get him. Hype is greater than reality at this point.
-Droughns? He'll be lucky to keep his job.
-Barber III? No chance to start.
-Norwood? Dunn's still the story there.
-White? Definite lgojam with Gado and a still-young Henry
-Jones-Drew??? This guy will never be a long-term starter. He's small and has a career as a 3rd-down back cut out for him.
My top-15, off the top of my head:
1) Tomlinson
2) Johnson
3) RBrown
4) Bush
5) Alexander
6) Portis
7) Parker
8) Rudi
9) McGahee
10) Maroney
11) James
12) Jacobs
13) JJones
14) KJones
15) Benson

You're kidding right? A 165lb player would get crushed into powder in the NFL...even the smallest kickers weigh more than that.

Jacobs is an outright monster on the field. I like the guy, and i'm a cowboys fan. So thats saying something. I'd say he has great value in keeper leagues.

Addai just barely misses. He's pretty much 15b.
C'mon, man. You can admit you were wrong. It's ok. You're saying that if someone offered you any RB other than the 11 you put above Jacobs, straight up, in a keeper, you'd take it? I sure wouldn't. As I said originally, if he was guaranteed the starting job without an RBBC situation, then maybe. But at this point all we have is Tiki saying he's going to retire. Nothing else. So no way.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I just don't see the Giants using Jacobs as a full-time back ever. I know a ton of people who have gloated about having Jacobs on their keeper roster and in the back of my mind thinking "There's no way in hell the Giants don't get another RB in the offseason."
Maybe I'm wrong.
I don't think if he were the top dog I would consider taking him in the top 15 or so in a redraft either.
