Browns coach: Grantham is an MSU candidate
November 15, 2006
Email this Print this Cleveland Browns head football coach Romeo Crennel confirmed that his defensive coordinator, Todd Grantham, is being considered to replace John L. Smith as Michigan State head coach.
"Todd's name has been thrown around in the Michigan State situation," Crennel told reporters. "It's not on me to say whether or not they've contacted him. It's their job. If they want to make an announcement, I'll let them do it."
Grantham was an MSU assistant under Nick Saban in 1996-98.
