Winslow- 11 REC for 78 yds
Gates- 2 REC for 22 yds

The numbers don't lie

Better NFL TE: Gates

Better Fantasy TE: KWII

When Brees left San Diego, the numbers that made Gates far-and-away the #1 TE in Fantasy left with him.

What makes this more interesting is their ADPs going into the FF draft. Gates went in the 3rd round . . . I snagged Winslow in the 11th. ;-D

That's a big reason why I said KWII was the better Fantasy TE. When you take into consideration their respective ADP's you end up with a lot of happy Winslow owners and a lot of rationalizing Gates ones.

KWII is proving all doubters about his ability. Especially coming off 2 major injuries and missed season. I'm glad he's on my team :-)

In a cage match, I'd take Winslow.

On the football field, I'd take Gates.

There's no comparison this year in my opinion. Gates is on one of the highest scoring offenses and will get many TDs if not rack up catches and yards. Winslow can only hope to get a few TDs this year as the Browns are just not going to afford him many opportunities.

I'd rather have Gates, even if Rivers doesn't have tunnel vision for him the way that Brees did.

WR Brandon Marshall, Kenny Britt

Really? Because even though I have nothing to base this on except for the occassional article I've read on Winslow and reports over his various "media outbursts," but Winslow strikes me as a person who'd crumble when confronted one on one in a cage match. He seems more likely whip out a gun or have 6 of his friends jump in before he gets his face smashed in, lol.

Eh, anyways, Winslow's knee is going to be a factor for the rest of the season. Reports have stated he was limping noticeably after yesterday's game. Would be tough to maintain his "best TE in NFL" claim if he can't finish yet another season.
