Randy Moss doesn't even want to be out there on the field the last series. He even took his gloves off.
Guy in my league needs 4 points to tie. He is leading the league, one game ahead of me. Of course he has Darrell Jackson and Randy Moss tonite, so I figure he has it in the bag (1 pt for 25yds). I really didn't have an interest in the game until I see he is still trailing by a couple points into the 4th quarter.
And what happens, Moss picks up just enough garbage yards to pick up a couple more points for this league member to get a tie. This guy seems to get all the breaks. Moss ends up with 76 yds.
This is gonna come back to bite me in the butt I just know it. We are battling for a bye in week one of our playoffs.
Wow, just wow, I dont even know what to say right now really. So I'm up by 6 points going into tonights game(10 yards per point). He has Moss, I have nobody. I'm in first place by a game over this guy.
For most of the game Moss gets shut down and I think I have a chance. However, with 36 yards on the last drive, Moss and his opponent overtook me and we are now tied in first.
Sorry about that...as I try to maintain my composure, is anyone else getting really frustrated with ESPN's scoring "updates"? First, earlier today, they hadn't credited the San Diego defensive TD. Then, I thought I was up by 7.8 points going into tonight.
Moss catches for 76 yards - I go NUTS! - thinking I just won a huge game which will likely decide the #1 seed in our fantasy playoffs by 0.2 points. Only to log on and see that ESPN gave my opponent another point somewhere else on his roster.
I got lucky, I had a 25 pt lead going into tonight
He had Josh Brown and Moss
I was thanking Holmgren when he was going to go for it at 4th and goal with a minute left then he changed his mind.
Then Moss suddenly wakes up and starts piling on pts (PPR and 1 pt per 10 yds)
Fortunately I hung on by 2 points.
I wish there was a way you could play defense in fantasy football
