Lots of Nyquil before bed. Works like a charm

Actually, Nyquil will actually have the opposite affect on me and will keep me up. It's the same thing when i drink too much alcohol... I'll sleep like crap. If you don't like or want to use Nyquil, and really need to get a good night's sleep, try "Simply Sleep" by Tylenol. It works great for me.

"Simply Sleep", IIRC, is the same as Sominex, which is the same as the stuff they put in whatever PM. It's all Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 25mg (I'm an uninsured insomniac. I eat the things like Pez). The ingredient in Nyquil that loops you is different (it escapes me at the moment). From accidental experience I've learned DO NOT MIX THE TWO.

I think I’ve been sick since Friday. Started as a sore throat and developed into more. What sucks about it is that we’ve basically been on vacation since that time and I’ve done my best to pretend I feel great. I’ve taken a ton of Dayquil and Nyquil and have been drinking water nonstop. It’s basically past, for the most part. Aside from a lot of coughing and stuffiness, I feel alright now.

Same with me. Started with a sore throat last Tuesday...developed into more.

Right now, I'm still stuffy and have to blow my nose a lot. It's been 9 days. I had to take off work a day and a half last week.

drink lot of OJ and water and plenty of sleep. I take those cold-ez losanges too. if you have to work and don't feel well take an advil daytime cold and flu pill.

as for the nyquil for me, it knocks me out hard for like for or 5 hours and then I'm wide awake and hating life. so I stay away from it unless it's like 2 am.

you could always play with you dolls till you're really sleepy and zoom off to the land of Mordor with your good friends frodo and gandolf.
